The Netherlands is the European part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands that is formed by the Netherlands, Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles. It is located in North-West Europe bordering Germany to the east, Belgium to the south, and the North Sea to the north and west. Together with Belgium and Luxembourg the Netherlands belongs to the Benelux countries. Hosting the International Court of Justice, The Hague (Den Haag) is the seat of government, while Amsterdam is the official capital as stated by the constitution. The Netherlands is a parliamentary democratic constitutional monarchy.
